In the heart of Reggio Emilia’s historic center, overlooking Piazza San Prospero, you’ll find The Riff—a one-of-a-kind restaurant & cocktail bar inspired by Japanese listening bars. At The Riff, bartenders and DJs work side by side behind an innovative bar-console, creating a fully immersive sensory experience that blends premium mixology with curated music.

The concept was developed by world-renowned DJ Benny Benassi, along with his friend Fabio Volo and entrepreneur Franco Montanari. Their goal: to create a vibrant, creative, and trendsetting venue for a new generation of guests. To ensure top-quality service and functionality, The Riff partnered with Samot, a trusted name in professional bar equipment.

To meet the high-performance needs of the venue, The Riff installed:

• Two Hoshizaki ice makers (models IM100 and IM240), capable of producing high-quality cube ice, essential for crafting premium cocktails;

• Continuous bag waste containers, for fast, hygienic, and efficient waste management—ideal for high-traffic bar environments.
